Accepting Exceptionalities
According to The Department of Education, exceptionalities are "patterns of strengths and needs common to groups of students. These strengths and needs may be: cognitive, emotional, behavioural, medical, social, and physical".
Enduring Understandings
|
There are many different types of people in the world and we all learn and behave differently! Our families and friends are very important to us but can be very different as well. Some families have two parents and some only have one, some have been adopted and some have two moms or two dads. All of these differences are unique and special to everyone. Some people look different and some people need different equipment to get around, and that is okay ! We will learn about the differences between people and learn to accept them and embrace the differences between people!
